Secure Data Transfer (Export / Import)

Note: This functionality is strictly reserved for Administrators and Superadmins.

When a student moves schools, SENSUS allows for zero-knowledge transfer.

Open the Student Profile.
Click the Export Data button at the top right.
SENSUS will generate a random 6-word passphrase. Call the receiving school via phone and read them this passphrase. Do not email it.
The system will download a heavily encrypted .sensus file. The file itself is useless without the passphrase.

Navigate to the Students List page.
Click the + Import Student button at the top right.
Upload the .sensus file and construct the 6-word passphrase using the dropdowns.
You will be taken to a mapping screen. Here you must map the incoming Tags & Categories to the ones that currently exist on your local database.
Assign them a new local Admission Number.
Click Finalize. The entire historic timeline, targets, and reviews will be securely imported and re-encrypted globally to your database.
